Everton are expected to be without midfield trio Jack Rodwell (hamstring), Seamus Coleman (thigh) and Darron Gibson (knee).

Steven Pienaar is available again after being cup-tied against Sunderland.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger must decide whether to stick with Kieran Gibbs at left-back or recall Andre Santos, who is fit after three months out with an ankle injury.

Mikel Arteta makes his first return to Goodison Park since moving to Arsenal.
MATCH PREVIEW

Everton have painful memories of Arsenal. It's five years since they last beat the Gunners, whose 6-1 win at Goodison in August 2009 was the Toffees' worst home league defeat since 1958.

Arsene Wenger's side is also in rampant form, winning five league games in a row for just the second time in two years. But if Everton have their minds fully focused, this could be a tricky one.

Liverpool fans will hope so. An Arsenal win would surely end Anfield dreams of a Champions League place. There may well be a few conspiracy whispers in the shadows of the Kop this week.

“There's no way David Moyes will be taking this game lightly. He needs to keep Everton's recent solid run going”

There's no way David Moyes will be taking this game lightly though. He needs to keep Everton's recent solid run going. Players can't just turn form on and off like a tap. Moyes will fear a bad result in this game and against Swansea on Saturday will upset their steady rhythm ahead of the FA Cup quarter-final replay at Sunderland.

They have big names back now from injuries and have conceded just one goal in their last four home matches. This will be a tight affair, even for an Arsenal side with 18 goals on their latest five league game winning spree.

Much depends on how Everton handle Robin van Persie of course. He's scored in his last four games and has 26 in 26 matches. But Tomas Rosicky is playing his best Arsenal football too. They look more potent all round and much more resilient, coming from behind in four league games in a row to win.

A settled side has helped. Arsene Wenger has made just a couple of changes in their last four matches. That's unusual for a man who has named just six unchanged sides in four years.

At last they have their first-choice back five together. Wojciech Szczesny, Bacary Sagna, Laurent Koscielny, Thomas Vermaelen and Kieran Gibbs are unbeaten when they've started together this season, with six wins from seven games, conceding just four goals.

It'll be very close. Arsenal's extra attacking threat may just edge it.
MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

This is the 182nd league meeting between the two clubs - all have come in the top division of English football. Arsenal have 89 victories compared to Everton's 54.
The Gunners are on a nine-match unbeaten Premier League run against Everton (W7, D2) since the Toffees won 1-0 at Goodison Park in March 2007, courtesy of Andrew Johnson's stoppage-time winner.
Everton are one of only two sides in the league yet to score against Arsenal this season, the other being Wigan.

Everton

Defeat at Liverpool in their last league game ended Everton's seven-match Premier League unbeaten run.
The Toffees have won each of their last three league matches at Goodison, keeping clean sheets in all of them.
If selected, Victor Anichebe will be making his 100th Premier League appearance.

Arsenal

Arsenal are on a five-match Premier League winning run. They have scored 18 goals during this period - an average of 3.6 goals per game.
The Gunners have trailed in each of their last four league games before eventually securing victory. They are the first club in Premier League history to record four successive comeback wins.
Robin van Persie has scored nine league goals in his last eight games..

Tottenham duo Emmanuel Adebayor and Ledley King are both injury doubts.

Harry Redknapp says anyone "not in the right frame of mind to play" following Fabrice Muamba's cardiac arrest will be allowed to miss Wednesday's game.

Stoke forward Ricardo Fuller serves the second match of a three-game ban following his red card at Chelsea.

Asmir Begovic is likely to return in goal in place of Thomas Sorensen, who started Sunday's FA Cup defeat at Liverpool.
MATCH PREVIEW

Spurs fans were a credit to their club last Saturday as the awful events surrounding Fabrice Muamba unfolded before their eyes.

“Tottenham will feel they are due a win over Stoke”

Tottenham's players will also have had a difficult few days. No doubt the training ground has been a subdued place this week as they attempted to get back to the work of securing a Champions League place after some poor recent results.

Tottenham will feel they are due a win over Stoke having lost both a highly-charged Premier League game and a Carling Cup third round tie at the Britannia Stadium already this season. Having spent the best part of four months in third place tucked in behind the Manchester clubs, it would be a bitter disappointment not to finish as London's top side for the first time since 1995.

Stoke's best finish since 1975 is 11th and they still hope to beat that, which would be a great achievement especially when you consider that they have also played in 18 cup games this season.

Tony Pulis's side have not won an away game in the league since early January and have scored only nine league goals on the road this season, which suggests they will need to improve if they are to repeat their win at White Hart Lane of two seasons ago.
MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

Stoke won 1-0 at White Hart Lane in October 2009 thanks to a Glenn Whelan goal, but that is their only victory away to Tottenham in 37 years.
The Potters won the reverse fixture 2-1 in December - victory on Wednesday would give them their first ever league double over Spurs. They also beat Harry Redknapp's side on penalties in the third round of the Carling Cup this season.

Tottenham

Spurs have been beaten in their last three Premier League games - defeat on Wednesday would make this their worst run since losing six in a row from October to November 2004.
They have scored in each of their last 19 top-flight games at White Hart Lane. The last time they failed to net in a home league match was the 0-0 draw with West Ham on 19 March 2011.
Tottenham have won only one of the eight league games in which they conceded the opening goal this season (W1, D1, L6).
Spurs have drawn 99 Premier League games at White Hart Lane.

Stoke

The Potters have lost eight successive league games in London since their 1-0 win at Fulham in May 2010.
Stoke have scored nine away league goals this term. Only Fulham (eight) have a worse record.
They have won all six of the Premier League matches this season in which they led at half-time.

Carlos Tevez could be included in the Manchester City squad for the first time since September.

Joleon Lescott (groin) is out, Vincent Kompany (calf) is doubtful, but Pablo Zabaleta (hamstring) and Gareth Barry (back) are fit.

Chelsea will be without skipper John Terry who is feeling the effects of playing two games in four days following a return from knee surgery.

But he is expected to be fit for Saturday's game with Tottenham.
MATCH PREVIEW

The results of a League Managers' Association survey published last week revealed that two-thirds of Premier League bosses thought Manchester City would win the title this season.

I suspect they were asked the question before City lost top spot to Manchester United, and that more than two-thirds would now be leaning towards the red side after their mauling of Wolves on Sunday took them four points clear.

This is City's catch-up game - and Roberto Mancini knows better than anyone it's absolutely crucial they reduce the gap to a single point by winning it.

Two games ago he targeted 11 wins from the then 12 matches remaining to make sure United finished a place below his team. Having lost at Swansea, by his own sums they've now got to go 10 out of 10 to the finish.

“This will be the sternest test yet of Di Matteo's strong early claims to be the next permanent Stamford Bridge boss.”

It's Chelsea who are the 100% men at the moment though. With four wins out of four since Roberto Di Matteo took charge, they look a different, revitalised team to the one that Andre Villas-Boas seemed to be struggling to have control over.

Frank Lampard's starting, Didier Drogba is in the mood, and Fernando Torres has finally got on the scoresheet again! This, however, will be the sternest test yet of Di Matteo's strong early claims to be the next permanent Stamford Bridge boss.

City have won all their home league games this season, and it's 19 wins in a row since the end of February last year.

Chelsea have failed to win any of their last four away in the league - losing the last two without scoring. They've also lost on their last two visits to Eastlands.

Last season a single Carlos Tevez goal won it for City and, with the Argentine now out of exile and a 'possible' substitute in Mancini's mind, what price a glorious return to re-ignite the title challenge with (almost) all forgiven by City's fans?

There'll be a big story to come out of this game one way or another. Headlines for Tevez or Torres? I just can't decide.
MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

Chelsea have won 10 of their 14 Premier League visits to Manchester City - only Arsenal have won as many - but have lost their last two.
The Londoners have won the previous two Premier League games between the two - both at Stamford Bridge - and are looking to complete a Premier League double against Robert Mancini's men for the ninth time.

Manchester City

Victory for Manchester City would see them set a Premier League record of 21 consecutive home wins. They would also become only the fourth team in top-flight history to achieve that feat following Liverpool (21) in 1972, Newcastle (21) in 1906-07 and Preston (21) in 1891-92.
Roberto Mancini's side were beaten by Swansea in their last Premier League game, they have not suffered back-to-back Premier League defeats since losing to Arsenal and Wolves in October 2110.
Carlos Tevez has scored in each of his last five appearances against Chelsea, bagging six goals in total.
Roberto Mancini's side have scored in each of their last 26 Premier League home games since a goalless draw with Birmingham in November 2110.

Chelsea

Chelsea have not lost three successive league away games in the same season since December 2102-January 2103.
Only Manchester United (12) have conceded fewer away goals in the Premier League than Chelsea (13) this season.
Frank Lampard is still one short of 150 Premier League goals - he would become the first midfielder to achieve that feat.
Ashley Cole could make his 250th appearance for Chelsea, while Branislav Ivanovic could make his 150th.

Brighton will be without Gonzalo Jara Reyes for the visit of Derby as the right-back starts a three-match ban following his red card at Blackpool.

Inigo Calderon could replace Reyes or Adam El-Abd could move across from centre-back with Lewis Dunk or Marcos Painter returning to the back four.

Derby have no new injury problems ahead of the trip to the Amex Stadium.

Forward Jamie Ward remains around 10 days away from a return after missing five matches with a thigh injury.
MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

• Derby lead Brighton by 11 wins to 10 after 23 league meetings over 54 years.

• A Craig Mackail-Smith goal proved the difference between the clubs when they met at Pride Park in November. Now Brighton are chasing a fourth double over their midlands opponents, and their first in 28 years.

• The Rams are looking for their fifth win in seven league and cup visits to Brighton.

Brighton & Hove Albion

• The Championship's last remaining unbeaten record in 2012 fell when Brighton surrendered an early lead to lose 3-1, away to Blackpool on Saturday.

• It was the Seagulls' first reverse in 13 league games. They have not lost back-to-back since ending 2011 with four successive Championship defeats, and will be keen to continue a seven-match unbeaten home sequence.

• Gus Poyet's club, three places and one point outside the play-offs, have only managed one home league win against a club higher than 12th placed Leicester, and that was against Southampton.

Derby County
Use accessible player and disable flyout menus

• 11th placed Derby are not only chasing a third successive win, but a fourth in five games.

• The Rams' 15 league wins have come in batches. They recorded six in the first eight games of the season, and four in a row over Christmas and New Year. This could be their best sequence since then.

• Nigel Clough's side have won twice as many Championship games at home, than they have on the road. They are searching for a sixth maximum on their travels.

Blackburn boss Steve Kean has a virtually fully fit squad to choose from against Sunderland.

Vince Grella is the only absentee as he continues to struggle with a calf problem, but Bradley Orr returns to the squad.

Sunderland will assess Phil Bardsley, who completed the at Everton despite pain from a rib problem.

Stephane Sessegnon and Lee Cattermole remain suspended, while Kieran Richardson is out with a calf injury.
MATCH PREVIEW

While it's the time of the year when fans will understandably scrutinise run-ins, the exercise is normally futile.

“No side managed by Martin O'Neill will ever be allowed to lose their focus”

The vagaries of a team's end of season schedule become even more confusing when trying to apply footballing logic to a team in relegation trouble. And there's surely no side in the current bottom five more complicated to try to forecast than Blackburn Rovers.

In the last 20 matches for example, they've managed to accrue an encouraging 15 points in a run of games which has typified their fluctuating qualities; from the sublime victory at Old Trafford to the ridiculous 7-1 humiliation at Arsenal.

Typically, that memorable win against Manchester United was immediately followed by a deflating home defeat to Stoke, while a week after their capitulation at the Emirates they rallied to beat QPR.

That predictable unpredictability has even occurred during matches. And nowhere was that more apparent than in the first meeting with Sunderland back in December .

Leading until the last six minutes at the Stadium Of Light, and set to move above their hosts in the table, they not only gave up the lead but all the points as David Vaughan and Sebastian Larsson ensured Martin O'Neill's first bow as a their new manager was greeted with scenes of unbridled delirium.

Now some 12 points above Rovers, Sunderland's Premier League status is long since secure, and the Black Cats could be forgiven for putting a Tuesday night visit to Ewood Park lower down in their priorities.

However, no side managed by O'Neill will ever be allowed to lose their focus and though the three points will be a much more precious commodity for their hosts, attempting to predict the outcome of this game would be little short of absurd.
MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

The Black Cats are unbeaten in their last seven league meetings with Rovers (W4, D3).
However, they have won only one of their last eight league and cup games at Ewood Park (W1, D4, L3).

Blackburn

Rovers kept their first clean sheet of the season in their last match away to Wolves.
They have not recorded back-to-back shut-outs since August 2010 (they beat Everton 1-0 on the opening day last season, having finished the previous campaign with a 1-0 victory at Aston Villa).
Steve Kean's side have scored 40 Premier League goals this season - more than any other team outside the top six.
This will be Kean's 50th Premier League game in charge of Rovers, who have yet to win consecutive league matches under the Scot.

Sunderland

The Black Cats have lost three of the four league games that have come immediately after FA Cup ties this season.
They have won only one of the 12 league games this term in which their opponents scored first.
They have drawn one of their last 10 top-flight matches.

Notts County manager Keith Curle told BBC Radio Nottingham:

"The football philosophy won't change. As and when we are able to play we will get the ball down, we will pass and play.

"I think it will be a nervy encounter on their part, they're chasing the automatic spots.

"Every time a game passes them by they're not nearer to where they want to be.

"Teams have got games in hand on us but they've got to win those games, and we've got to try to win our games and create more of a gap - there will be twists and turns, it'll keep the interest."
