Preview

Since Martin O'Neill was appointed as manager, Sunderland have picked up 16 points, a total bettered only by Manchester United.

The feel-good factor created by O'Neill at the Stadium of Light was given a further boost when Frazier Campbell scored on a dream return from 17 months out injured against Middlesbrough on Sunday.

Norwich fans are equally as happy with their manager this season as the Canaries continue to fly high under the stewardship of Paul Lambert. They are into the fifth round of the FA Cup for only the fourth time in 20 seasons and sit proudly in ninth place in the table.

As a result, this game looks a tough one to call. The Black Cats have not lost at home since November and Norwich are unbeaten on the road since 3 December.
MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

Eleven of the last 14 league meetings between Norwich and Sunderland have been won by a one-goal margin, with the other three ending as draws.
Norwich won home and away against Sunderland in their last top-flight season together, in 1990/91.
Norwich boss Paul Lambert was Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill's captain when he was a player at Celtic. Together they won five major honours at the club, including the domestic treble in 2001.

Sunderland

Martin O'Neill has overseen 99 Premier League draws during his time as manager at Leicester, Aston Villa and Sunderland. Only Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, Harry Redknapp and David Moyes have previously reached a century.
The Black Cats are unbeaten in four home matches since Martin O'Neill took over and have lost just one of their last nine matches at the Stadium of Light (W4 D4 L1).
Sunderland have conceded a higher percentage of headed goals than any other Premier League side (33%).

Norwich

Norwich have scored a higher percentage of headed goals in the top flight than any other team (41%).
The Canaries kept their first clean sheet of the season in their last outing against Chelsea. The 0-0 result against the Blues was their first goalless draw since January 2011 against Crystal Palace.
Norwich have won three league matches away from home so far this season. They failed to win any during their last season in the top flight in 2004-05.
