MK Dons boss Karl Robinson is hoping to have defender Gary MacKenzie back following an illness.

Former Leeds United and England forward Alan Smith is likely to retain his place behind a front two of Dean Bowditch and Charlie MacDonald.

Huddersfield are set to recall striker Jordan Rhodes after resting him for their last two matches, with Lee Novak or Kallum Higginbotham to miss out.

Fellow striker Alan Lee (knee) is back in contention.
MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

• Huddersfield boast a 50% winning record over Milton Keynes since 2004. The Terriers have won six and lost two of 12 matches, which have all been in League One.

• The West Yorkshire club are unbeaten in seven (W4, D3), since the Dons' 3-1 away win in August 2008.

• Both this season's meetings were 1-1 draws. Dons keeper David Martin saved a penalty, denying Lee Novak

• Huddersfield finished fourth, 12 points short of automatic promotion, and one place and one point ahead of Milton Keynes. They have been resident in League One for eight seasons, and are making a third successive attempt to rise out of this level through the play-off route.

• Simon Grayson, who took over from Lee Clark as manager in February, was unable to improve from the fourth placing they held when he arrived. Grayson was a play-off winner as a player with Leicester in 1994 and 1996, and took Blackpool up to the Championship through this route in 2007.

• The Terriers have been promoted through the play-offs twice; climbing into the second tier in 1995, and into the third tier in 2004.
