Team news for Tuesday night's FA Cup third-round replay between Leicester and Nottingham Forest at the King Power Stadium (7.30pm)

Veteran striker Steve Howard comes back into the reckoning for the game against Forest.

Howard has served a two-match suspension for the red card he received during the league win at Crystal Palace at the turn of the year.

However, fellow forward Jeffrey Schlupp remains sidelined with the knee injury he sustained in the original tie at the City Ground nine days ago.

Manager Nigel Pearson will also be without defenders Sol Bamba and John Pantsil who are away with the Ivory Coast and Ghana respectively at the African Nations Cup.

Should Leicester win they will host League Two promotion contenders Swindon in the fourth round on January 28.

Forest captain Luke Chambers is suspended for the game against the Foxes.

Chambers was shown a straight red card early in the second half of the league defeat to Southampton on Saturday when referee Eddie Ilderton decided that the centre-half had led with his arm in an aerial challenge with Saints striker David Connolly. He begins a three-match ban.

With Wes Morgan struggling to recover from an ankle injury and Brendan Moloney still nursing a knee problem, midfielder Guy Moussi could once again be asked to drop back into the heart of defence alongside Joel Lynch.

Should Forest win they will face League Two promotion contenders Swindon at the City Ground in the fourth round on January 28.
