Preview

West Brom welcome Norwich to The Hawthorns in the hope of improving on their dreadful home record.

The Baggies have won just two home matches in the league all season and have failed to score in their last three Premier League games, picking up 22 points from their 20 matches to date.

In contrast, Norwich are unbeaten in their last three away matches and have lost just one of their last six league games.

However, the good news for Albion fans is that they have won their last four league meetings against City, although they're very much in need of three points which could potentially lift them in the top half of the table.

And Roy Hodgson would have been greatly encouraged by his team's performance following their impressive FA Cup victory against Carling Cup semi-finalists Cardiff City last weekend.

Norwich are yet to keep a clean sheet this season and are conceding at an alarming rate with two goals a game on the road. However, they're prolific in front of goal having scored in 12 of their last 13 games.

The last time the two teams met at Albion was just over four years ago, in October 2007, with the hosts running out comfortable 2-0 winners in a Championship match.
Team news

Hodgson will check on the fitness of six first-team regulars before naming his Albion side.

Hodgson has to assess the chances of centre-backs Gareth McAuley and Jonas Olsson (both calf), winger Jerome Thomas (groin), midfielders Paul Scharner (Achilles) and Youssouf Mulumbu (groin) plus striker Shane Long (back) being available.

New signing Scott Allan is expected to be available having completed his move from Dundee United. Skipper Chris Brunt (fractured ankle), fellow midfielder Zoltan Gera (knee) and defender Steven Reid (ankle and knee) are definitely ruled out.

Goalkeeper John Ruddy is back in the Norwich squad after missing the FA Cup win against Burnley after his partner gave birth to a daughter.

Full-back Marc Tierney is back in training after recovering from a groin injury but on-loan Manchester United defender Ritchie De Laet (back) is still out.

Centre-forward James Vaughan and defender Elliott Ward (both knee) are still several weeks from returning.

Possible starting XIs

West Brom: Foster, Jones, Dawson, McAuley, Shorey, Thomas, Scharner, Dorrans, Morrison, Tchoyi, Odemwingie.

Norwich: Ruddy, Naughton, Martin, Whitbread, Ayala, Fox, Hoolahan, Johnson, Surman, Pilkinton, Morrison.
