Preview

Tottenham go in search of their second win in four days as they host Wolverhampton Wanderers, knowing victory could see them move level with league leaders Manchester City.

Spurs beat Everton in midweek which drew them level with second placed Manchester United and within touching distance of City.

With City not playing until Monday evening at Wigan, Spurs could end the week level at the top of the table.

Whilst Spurs come into the match on the back of just one defeat in their last 18 league matches, Wolves are looking to end a six-match winless streak.

And defeat for Wolves could see them drop into the bottom three for the first time this season.

History also seems to be on Spurs' side - Wolves have won just once in their last 12 visits to White Hart Lane, although they did manage to claim three points there in 2009.
Team news

Tottenham go into the match with a number of injury concerns, meaning they could field an unchanged side.

Scott Parker could return after missing out in recent games with a knee injury, but if not the impressive Jake Livermore will continue in his absence.

Captain Ledley King remains sidelined with a hamstring injury whilst William Gallas and Sandro are out with calf problems.

Wolves have midfielder Nenad Milijas available again following suspension and he will be pushing for an immediate recall.

Skipper Roger Johnson is hopeful of overcoming an ankle problem, while Dave Edwards should also shake off a groin injury to make the match.

Steven Flecther will be recalled to the starting line-up, with either Sylvan Ebanks-Blake or Kevin Doyle partnering him.

Possible starting XIs

Spurs: Friedel, Walker, Assou-Ekotto, Dawson, Kaboul, Parker, Lennon, Bale, Modric, Adeabyor, Van der Vaart.

Wolves: Hennessey, Stearman, Berra, Johnson, Jarvis, Henry, Edwards, Ward, Hammill, Fletcher, Doyle
