Preview

Ipswich Town manager Paul Jewell has a selection dilemma over Jason Scotland.

The striker is two starts from triggering a clause in his contract which would see him given a one-year extension and Jewell has to decide if he is willing to activate it.

Burnley will make a late decision on top scorer Jay Rodriguez (groin).

Irish defender Danny Lafferty, who made his Clarets debut at the weekend against Cardiff, will hope to retain his place - as will Junior Stanislas.
MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

• Ipswich have had the better of the exchanges with Burnley over the years, with 16 wins, 10 draws and 10 losses in 36 competitive clashes.

• But Burnley thrashed the Tractor Boys 4-0 at Turf Moor in November, with the help of a Chris McCann double. They have never recorded same season home and away league wins over Ipswich.

• This season's reverse fixture was Ipswich's only defeat in the last eight league clashes with Burnley. They have lost once to the Clarets at Portman Road, 1-0 in January 1970 in the top flight.

• Mid-table Ipswich prepare to run out at Portman Road for the second time inside a week, bidding for a fifth successive home league victory.

• The Tractor Boys have won six of nine Championship matches, and have avoided defeat in eight of them.

• If selected, Lee Bowyer will be making his 600th club career appearance.

Burnley

• Burnley are seeking a first win in six league games, having lost three and drawn two since beating Barnsley 2-0 at Turf Moor on 14 February, their only maximum in eight.

• A point will see the Clarets complete three successive league draws for the first time since November 2010, but they are the only club with just one away draw in the Championship.

• The Turf Moor club have found the net in eight of their last 12 league and cup matches and Jay Rodriguez has been on the score sheet on each occasion, scoring nine of their 12 goals in that time.
